HAUSPRINT Studio Identity

I have been working on an identity for HAUSPRINT Studio, a group of artists, specialist teachers and printmaking experts in south London, dedicated to investigating and teaching about all things print. As part of the identity, I have developed a set of templates for items including an A3 poster, an A5 invitation, and social media templates. The items have been designed to connect with the existing HAUSPRINT website, and have used the existing logo, typefaces and colour palette to create a unified visual approach.

I have collaborated closely with Michelle Avison, the director of HAUPRINT and have listened carefully to understand the needs of the studio: the templates need to be simple yet refined, and easily updated by those with little skills in InDesign, they also need to be adaptable to suit different needs. I have met with Michelle to talk her through the InDesign templates and have included instructions on how they can best be used. My design ethos tends towards a pared down simplicity that is – in theory – user-friendly, but attempting to anticipate how these templates might be used by a visually-led but not necessarily design tech-savvy user has been an interesting challenge. I look forward to seeing how these templates are used and developed by HAUSPRINT.
